A good reason for the best safety gear & HAND RESTRAINTS !!

Need good Hand Restraints? This also shows just how much your safety belts can stretch during a tumble, so make sure to tighten properly and check often

The  way I use to ride. LOL  I got to admit though with long travel, its a blast!  That was also my old race pilot which was a bit twisted by the time I retired it. LOL

Damage was done to the Pilots above when I pulled in front of Big Tom we were doing approx. 40 mph each. I'm lucky he didn't end up inside my pilot with me if I had only been 1 sec. faster.  His front bumper did all the damage to my Pilot front suspension and wheel.

    BELTS

ALL Certified 3" wide Racing Belts:

All the belts sold by OdysseySalvage, are certified for racing, which guarantees safety and proper construction. They are the latch and link 5 points and yes I do suggest you put the sub belt in the 250, 350 or Pilot! You will bolt it to the cross member under the steering wheel. I also have duel sub belts that for the guys can help keep from pinching or hurting themselves. I especially suggest this with kids riding it. The belts will bolt up in the same places as the stock belts, with the exception of the sub belt.
Yes it should only be between 5 and 15 minuet install, plus 15 for the sub belt if one is not already there. A battery drill will work for drilling that hole.
Yes the newer belts are easier to adjust, now the Simpson's are the best for that because they set the upper hardware with a extra ribbon that you hold onto that makes it much easier to adjust the belts. Simpson also makes the lower belts so you can pull up to adjust instead of pulling down.

If you are using the U shaped harness you run them straight up like Honda did. If you how ever pick the single pads that are not so thick and bulky then you need to cross the belts behind your head. Now you do have to wear a neck brace when using the individual pads but not always the U shaped as long as you have a full faced helmet.

Always loosen the upper chest belts before getting out of your ody.
When getting in always tighten the lower belts first as tight as possible
    Then tighten the uppers
After 5 to 10 minuets of riding always pull over and re-tighten!

If you pleasure ride you can use these with out a neck brace and get good support with full face helmet, but there is not enough support unless you wear a neck braces for rough riding the neck brace is required to protect you from whiplash and you will not be able to turn your head much.
Safety Racing   INDIVIDUAL SIMPSON  Shoulder Harness    (COMES AS PAIR)  (Red) (Blue) (Black)   $34.00
Safety Racing   U SHAPED Shoulder Harness       (Red) (Blue) (Black)   $ 40.00 ea.
     Wrist Restraints  (MUST HAVE!)
On a 250 the hand restraints should always be adjusted up tight so you only have enough to hold onto the steering wheel.
Now on the 350 or 400, some leave the right one loose enough that they can shift gears with out removing their hand. The left side is always tight.
On all of the hand restraints you can leave the adjustment loose around the hands. Even with the extra padding the straps will bind if you try to pull your had out fast, or with out holding it in place with the other hand.

IN MEMORY OF:

JAKE BUTLER

A family friend  who lost his life 4-01-03 on the front lines in Iraq.

I want to thank all men and women who served our country along with those who are serving now.

I also HONOR the women and men who have gave their lives, who have been wounded and those who are POW's.

Thank you America for my freedom and the ability to help others gain theirs.

God Bless America

I would to thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my son in law and very good friend Josh. He just finished his  second tour in Iraq fighting. He lost several friends and he had served his first tour beside Jake as a scout. He was just made it home June 12th 05.

Thanks,

Randy
